The Western Hockey League's first round is in the books, so now teams like Brandon, Calgary, Vancouver and Kelowna who swept their opponents can finally get ready for game action. All 4 teams wrapped up their first round series a week ago tonight.
Last night Medicine Hat took out Swift Current in game 7, while tonight another series that went the distance came to an end. All the big nuts came out for Lethbridge in a 4-3 victory to upset the #2 ranked team in the East, Saskatoon, on the Blades home ice. Colton Sceviour notched a pair of goals and set up another, Zach Boychuk scored once and assisted on another, and just how big was getting Luca Sbisa back from Philadelphia this year for the 'Canes? He scored the game winner tonight.
Below is a look at the round 2 schedule, The Spokane-Vancouver series can be seen on SHAW TV, while Sportsnet might be doing the odd game out west as well. And just so you know, one TPS host went a perfect 8-8 in round one, I'll let Guy tell you who it is in the comments section below. It just proves that the sun even shines on a dog's butt sometimes.

That would be Millard.
I would like to mention that:
Although I picked Saskatoon to win, I did say it would be in 7 and I also said that if not for Metsola being hurt I would have taken Lethbridge... and Metsola ended up NOT being as hurt as we thought before game 1.
But yes, Millard went 8-0 while Rod Pedersen, Cam Moon and I went 6-2. A.J. Jacubec went 7-1 as he also took Medicine Hat.
