Joe's Journey-Day 1

~
Each Day of the Royal Bank Cup, Camrose Kodiak forward Joe Colborne, who's predicted to be a first round NHL draft pick this June will give us a first hand look at what it's like playing for a National Championship. Here's Day 1:

Hello,
I'm Joe Colborne from the Camrose Kodiaks. I will be attempting to keep a blog while we are here in Cornwall. I have never done one of these before so I apologize if it is pretty bad.

Today started early and involved a lot of travel. We met at the rink in Camrose at 5:30 am, and drove up to the Edmonton Airport for our flight. Lucky for us, our flight was quick and smooth and we got to Ottawa at about 2:30 local time. We jumped on the bus and drove about an hour to Cornwall where we checked into the Ramada and then moved into our dressing room.

There was a small press conference at the rink, and then we went right out onto the ice for a quick practice. Overall, our team seems pretty excited and perhaps a little nervous but that is to be expected. Having a day to get settled in tomorrow should help us out a lot, but I am wishing we could get the tournament started tomorrow.
