Morgan Rielly To Return in First Round

~
This is a good news, bad news story depending on which side of the Regina/Moose Jaw rivalry you sit on. TPS has learned that the Warriors will have a rising star back in their line up at some point in the opening round.

Morgan Rielly last played for the Tribe November 6th when he chipped in with 2 helpers against Calgary. But an injury against the Hitmen led to Rielly tearing his ACL and requiring surgery. Some thought it would be season ending, the doctors said mid April with the most optimistic time frame being mid to late March. Well they nailed it.

Rielly is skating fully with the team and some think he could suit up tonight when Moose Jaw hosts their bitter rivals from Regina in game one of their WHL playoff series. He has an appointment with his doctor next week where he should get the all clear in time to take the ice at home in game 5, if it's needed. However if we have learned anything from Rielly's rapid recovery it's to not be surprised, even if he showed up in warm up tomorrow!!!

That I don't think will happen, but it's interesting to think of Moose Jaw with him. He put up 18 points in 18 games before getting hurt. Would they have caught and passed Edmonton? Who Knows, we would need a robot to go back in time to prevent him from getting hurt, and nothing that silly would ever happen. It likely would have made the Eastern Conference a lot more like the West with Portland, Tri City and Kamloops all vying for first.

One thing is for sure, it'll be great for hockey fans and scouts to see him back on the ice, it'll take some time to get up to game speed, but Morgan Rielly at 80 per cent is better then a lot of guys at 100.
