The Gatineau Olympiques shutout the Quebec Remparts 4-0 on Sunday to extend their QMJHL playoff series to a 7th and deciding game. Defenceman Nicolas Deslauriers (LA, 3rd 2009) led the home team to victory with a 3-point effort and Philip-Michael Devos scored the winner on the power play less than 7 minutes into the game.
Quebec Owner, GM and head coach Patrick Roy has been quoted as saying he is unsure who will start the final game of the series. Netminder Louis Domingue (PHX, 5th 2010) was beaten three times on 12 shots and was described as "shaky" by Roy. Back up Jimmy Appleby finished the game and stopped 15 of 16 shots.
Maxime Clermont (NJ, 6th 2010) was perfect on 21 shots faced in goal for Gatineau.
Game 7 will be held in Quebec City on Tuesday with the winner advancing to the QMJHL Championship series against the #1 ranked team in Canada - The Saint John Sea Dogs. The Final begins on Thursday at Harbour Station.
