Kunyk A Cougar?

-
TPS found out last night that AJHL MVP Cody Kunyk has been listed by the Prince George Cougars. The Sherwood Park forward put up 87 points including a league leading 5 short handed goals on route to winning the league hardware.

As TPS told you last night, Kunyk has retained Gerry Johansson of the sports corporation, as an advisor (NCAA kids can't have an agent, even thought that's what Johansson is), and while he has committed to Alaska Fairbanks of the NCAA, if he decides to play in the WHL it will be with Prince George.

Kunyk should get drafted as a 19 year old this year, and maybe his NHL team would like him to play in the WHL especially on a line with top 2010 draft prospect Brett Connolly.

However, said team may also want Kunyk to spend some time in college, thus giving them more time to sign him.
