Kabanov Back in Moncton?!?

~
Rumor has it that Russian forward Kirill Kabanov has returned to the QMJHL after his short lived mission to play in the World U18 Championship and that he may rejoin Moncton in their series against Drummondville.

In other news, a pig was seen flying over a frozen hell and monkeys did fly out of someone's butt.

Full credit to frequent QMJHL contributor to The Pipeline Show, Kevin Forbes of Hockey's Future and Future Considerations for the heads up. Forbes says that Kabanov wasn't on the ice for the pre-game warm up but that he has been back in Moncton for a couple of days, apparently to meet with the team and the coaching staff. Rejoining the club on the ice may still be possible.

You can imagine that this will be a humbled player to come back from Russia after what happened at the end of March.

The Wildcats lead the Voltigeurs 2-0 in their best of 7 series with the scene shifting to New Brunswick for the next two contests.

I was stunned when he left the team and I'm just as stunned to learn that he may be back with the club again.
