2015 Draft Spotlight: Brandon Carlo

-
Last night on TPS we introduced listeners to a hulking defenceman with 1st round potential. Brandon Carlo of the WHL's Tri-City Americans was in our 2015 Draft Spotlight segment and was a terrific interview.

If you missed it live, no worries, we have it for you right after the jump.

Shoots: Right

Carlo is a 6'5, nearly 200 lbs blueliner from Colorado. Early in the season both Dean Millard and I were being told by scouts that the Tri-City defender wouldn't be a secret for long and that not only will he be drafted high but quite possibly in the 1st round.

The Colorado native gave us great detail of how his role and development as a player has evolved since joinng the franchise last year. We also discussed his path to the Western Hockey League as opposed to steering towards a NCAA career. Of course we touched on the draft, the Ivan Hlinka tournament and the play of the Americans this season.

We were also able to discuss the recent addition by the team as the Americans acquired Richard Nejezchleb from the Brandon Wheat Kings earlier in the day.

Here is our exclusive conversation with highly touted Brandon Carlo of the Tri-City Americans:
