It's taken a couple of weeks longer than we were told it would but Morgan Rielly has finally been given clearance by his doctor to return to action, just in time for round 3 of the WHL playoffs. The timing couldn't be any better for Moose Jaw as they prepare for what most expect will be a lengthy series against the Edmonton Oil Kings.
The Moose Jaw Times-Herald offered this story.
While sources indicated to The Pipeline Show that Rielly was ready to play in the opening round against Regina, the player's doctor would not give his blessing. Fortunately for the Warriors, their depth proved more than enough to get past the Pats in 5 games and then the Medicine Hat Tigers in 4.
The third round of the WHL playoffs do not begin until April 20th, a week from today, so there is ample time for Rielly to be ready for the start of the series.
Dylan Wruck of the Edmonton Oil Kings went down to injury in their 4th game against Brandon. Described only as "upper body", it may be a shoulder injury which would be the third time this year for Wruck.
