Tavares Down

John Tavares left the game between his London Knights and Windsor Spitfires last night.

Sportsnet was broadcasting the game and sportsnet.ca filed this report.

Nathan at World Of Junior Hockey who first alerted us of the injury has an interesting theory on the injury, and some knights fans think Tavares could be out a month.

To me that's okay, they aren't battling for a playoff spot, and next June's likely first overall pick could use a rest heading into the post season.

I saw one of Tavares' first games in London against Guelph where he scored a natural hat trick. He'd just come back from the World Juniors and was off earlier in the week after his shoulder was injured in the top prospects game. He didn't look 100% at the time and it was my impression that he was gassed. Some time off will do him and the Knights a load of good once the playoffs start especially if his shoulder can bounce back in that time.
