2015 Draft spotlight: Lawson Crouse

-
This weekend on The Pipeline Show in our regular Draft Spotlight segment we had the chance to introduce fans to a top power forward in the Class of 2015. Lawson Crouse is in his second year with the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL and he appeared on the show Saturday after a 6-4 defeat of the Plymouth Whalers the night before.

Our conversation with Lawson Crouse is after the jump.

Tuesday Recap: May 24th

~
With the Memorial Cup well underway, the NHL Entry Draft and the NHL Combine getting closer every day, there was plenty to talk about this week on The Pipeline Show. Dean was away for this episode (say goodbye to that short-lived iron man streak, buddy) but I was joined by a diverse group of guests to make the show interesting once again.

Saturday Morning Special - May 14th

~
Our season-long build up to the NHL Draft continues each week and as the big event gets closer we start escalating things even more. Each show we speak with another prospect eligible for the draft but now we've upped that to two or even three draft-specific guests each episode. Saturdays means a visit from our NHL Insider and this week we also went to Kingston to try and get a read on what that franchise has done lately plus hit on several hot topics as well.

Doug Gilmour Fired Promoted in Kingston

~
The Kingston Frontenacs announced Monday that they would be holding a press conference on Tuesday and speculation began. Would it mean the end of former NHL star Doug Gilmour's tenure as head coach of the Frontenacs? Apparently the answer is yes but not because the 75-106 (.414) Gilmour is being let go... he's being promoted to the General Manager position.

Gilmour's former Maple Leafs teammate Todd Gill has been named the club's new head coach.

No press release yet from the OHL or the Kingston Frontenacs on any of this but friend of TPS Mike Farwell had it on Twitter over the last hour. More on this story as it develops. Here is a brief report from The Canadian Press.
