Another player has seen his WJC dream fall short although this time it wasn't a decision made by Hockey Canada.
According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, Brandon Wheat Kings forward Scott Glennie suffered a concussion last night in the final red/white game ending his hopes of playing for Canada at the WJC.
McKenzie broke the news via Twitter a few minutes ago.
Most considered Glennie to be on the bubble as it was but no one wanted to see a player lose his chance due to injury. Dana Tyrell and Tyler Cuma experienced this same sort of heartbreak last year and it's a disappointing scenario for Glennie.
The Winnipeg native was a 1st round pick (8th overall) by the Dallas Stars last June and has 39 points n 33 games with the Wheat Kings this year in the WHL.
TSN is also reporting that defencemen Ryan Ellis and Tyler Cuma are a bit banged up, the former will not dress tonight but the latter will.
