Edmontonian First Head Coach At Penn State

~
Edmonton native and until today Princeton Head Coach Guy Gadowsky is heading off to the Big Ten (which will only be 6 teams) conference when Penn State ices a hockey team in 2012-2013.

Gadowsky is a fine hire with 12 years of experience coaching division one hockey, the past 7 in Princeton and 5 years before that in Alaska-Fairbanks. He has had success at both posts, and was named coach of the year in both the ECAC and CCHA during his time. With Princeton the Tigers reached the NCAA tournament twice in his tenure which is impressive as without him the Ivy League school reached the main event only one other time in their 110 year existence.

Word is that there could be a reunion with the Nittany Lions as TPS has been told Gadowsky will likely try to lure Brian Renfrew out of Michigan State University (which is also joining the Big 10). Renfrew was an assistant with Gadowsky while in Alaska.
